My name is Victoria Butterworth and I have recently been appointed as Senior Employment advisor for REAL Employment. Our team works to support people with learning disabilities into employment.
This a completely new role for me but something I am really enjoying. I see the work that the Employment advisors put in and the dedication they have for their jobs and the support they give to their customers.
Both I and Angela the Manager have lots of ideas as to where we would like to take REAL and have already started implementing some of them.
Seeing the customers walking through the door letting us know they have found a job and seeing the smiles and self-worth that that brings is the best feeling. I know this sounds cliché but that is why we are here and why we all do this job.
I am still finding my feet and looking forward to what the future will bring in my role.
