Come along to our fostering event – February 27th

We’re recruiting foster carers! Do you have room in your home and heart to care for our children?

We’re working hard to recruit more families who can help us care for our children and young people, giving them the best start in life.

We need people who can offer a stable, loving home to children of all ages, especially older children and teenagers.  All you really need is time, space and a listening ear.

There’s a wide variety of fostering schemes to suit different individual and family circumstances. For example, you can work full or part-time and still foster.

We’re also looking for families who can offer a ‘forever’ home. Long-term fostering provides children and young people who can’t live with their birth families on a permanent basis a home they can grow up in. These planned placements provide a safe and secure environment, often over a number of years.

When is the event?

Are you interested in discovering more about how you can start your fostering journey? Help us spread the word and bring friends and family along too – our next information session is on Thursday February 27th, from 10am until noon, at the John Smith’s Stadium, Stadium Way, Huddersfield HD1 6PG. Everyone is welcome to pop along.

What will happen at the event?

You can have a cuppa with our foster carers and hear about their experiences in caring for looked after children. Our friendly fostering team will talk you through the process, covering everything from training, the benefits and the difference you can make to a child’s life.
