Library Adventures Live! Week 5 Challenge

Author Josh Lacey is asking us to save the world with this week’s challenge. What would you do to make the planet a better place?

Library Adventures Live! Week 5

Have you watched this week’s library Adventures Live! session with Josh Lacey? You can catch up on YouTube!

This week we joined Josh Lacey, where he read from his book, ‘The Dragonsitter’, you’ve probably seen in your local library. He also read from his exciting, new book, ‘Hope Jones Saves the World’.

Hope Jones writes a blog about what she does to save the world. There are lots of little things we can all do that make a big difference for the environment.

Hope Jones’ New Year’s resolution is to stop using plastic. You might think that would be too difficult, but plastic is everywhere you look!

Take a look around your house and see how many bits of plastic you can spot.

Find out about this fascinating multi-use material.

Get Involved!

This week for Library Adventures Live! we have two challenges for you:

  1. Make a poster or banner to encourage people to use less plastic. Like the one that Hope Jones makes to hold up outside the supermarket.
  2. Imagine you are the Prime Minister, what would you do to make the planet a better place? Try writing a list of five to ten things you would do to change the world.

You may find inspiration by visiting Hope Jones Saves the World.
