Library Adventures Live! Week 7 Challenge 1

Library Adventures Live! Week 7

On Tuesday 25th August, we joined Jack Noel, author and illustrator of ‘My Headteacher is an Evil Genius’.

The session was a special ‘young presenter take-over’, hosted by May and Poppy, while Jack gave us an excerpt from his book, talked about pets and showed us all how to draw his favourite characters!

Watch it at a time that suits you on YouTube.

And get ready for an extra special Library Adventures Live! with the creators of ‘Llama Glamarama’, this Thursday too!

Get Involved!

This week’s challenge is all about class pets. Don’t have one? Not a problem, Library Adventures Live is all about going on adventures with our imagination and creativity.

Jack has asked you to draw your class pet and give it an acronym

  1. Firstly, choose a class pet… it could be a hamster, a tortoise, a stick insect, or even a crocodile! The good thing about it being imaginary, it can be anything you like!
  2. Secondly, you need to draw your pet. Find some top tips about drawing characters on the latest Library Adventures Live!
  3. Once you’ve drawn your pet, give it a name, but not just any name. Each letter can be used to describe the pet’s characteristics. There are some examples from Jack below.
  4. Send your entries to LAL@kirklees.gov.uk, with your name and age so we can pop it on our website and social media channels!

We can’t wait to see all the Kirklees classroom pets. Good Luck!
