Library Adventures Live! Week 13 Challenge

What a fantastic library adventure with hip-hop artist, rapper, beatboxer and writer Testament! We discovered the roots of hip-hop and how it was born out of two communities and cultures coming together.

In celebration of Black History Month, we join Testament to learn about the history of hip-hop. You can watch Testament’s entertaining and insightful session on YouTube.

Testament’s challenge

Watch Testament talk about the challenge in the latest session.

“it’s not about where you’re from, it’s about where you’re at!”

Create a rap to tell us where you’re at. How are you feeling? What are you thinking? What are your dreams and where are you heading?

Follow Testament’s rules of rap to get started and send your finished rap in to LAL@kirklees.gov.uk.

Testament’s three rules of rap

  1. Rhyme
  2. Rhythm
  3. DO IT! Go for it, don’t worry about getting it wrong. Have fun and DO IT!
