To encourage people back into the town centre, Kirklees Council are offering free parking. You can park for free in all council car parks until the end of 2020. We have stopped charging for parking throughout Kirklees to help build a stronger local economy. Maximum stay still applies. If you stay longer, you may be issued with a parking fine (penalty charge notice).
Cllr Davies said “We know too well how difficult it is for businesses in Kirklees in these challenging times. We are all working hard to help those businesses in need. Please support those local businesses where you can but remember to remain safe. Keep following the guidelines by staying apart from other households, washing your hands, and wearing a facemask.”
