find out everything you ever needed to know about becoming a foster carer.

Silhouettes of people

Join us for a special online event where you can find out everything you ever needed to know about becoming a foster carer. We always need more local people to step up and consider fostering so that our children and young people can receive the best possible care.

There is no ‘typical’ foster carer. It doesn’t matter about ethnicity, relationship status, sexuality, your employment status or whether or not you have any birth children. What’s important is having the time, space and commitment to support children at difficult times in their lives.

So come along and chat to us on Thursday June 24th at 10am. You can ask questions, talk to foster carers, meet the team and hear how foster care is so rewarding. Just email fostering@kirklees.gov.uk to register and we’ll send you a link for the session. Alternatively, you can express an interest in future events and we’ll get back in touch with you.

There’s also information on our fostering web pages – Fostering – Kirklees Council
