Kirklees Christmas Lights Switch On
Christmas is upon us; the darker nights have begun; the chime of festive music is starting and soon the streets of Kirklees will be lit with twinkling lights.
This year head to your local town and watch the wonderful streets light up. ‘Tis the season to sparkle after all!
What events are happening?
Honley Christmas Lights Switch On
Saturday 13 November from 3pm to 8pm
Honley Park, Honley

Live music and entertainment will be spread throughout the day with something for everybody. Walk through the fabulous Santa’s Winter Wonderland Walk, try you luck at hook a duck or take a spin on the fair rides. With food and drink also available alongside the big lights switch on.
Cleckheaton Christmas Lights Switch On
Saturday 13 November at 9am-7:30pm

Join us at markets, festivals and fairgrounds across Cleckheaton in anticipation for the Christmas Lights Switch On.
Huddersfield Christmas Lights Switch On
Saturday 20 November at 1pm- 6:30pm | Switch On at 6pm
St. Georges Square, Huddersfield
Listen to brass bands and choirs playing and singing festive songs from 1pm in the square. Watch out for the walkabout entertainment and enjoy some refreshments from the Winter Festival Tipi before the lights are switched on by the panto dames at 6pm. Look out for the giant Christmas pudding!

Browse the Christmas Craft Fair and enjoy the fairground rides. Watch the lantern parade and listen to the massed choir of school children from 25 local schools as part of the finale and local musicians provided by local arts organisation Manasamitra.
Visitors will also have the chance to enter CityFibre’s free raffle to win a Nintendo Switch.
