Oakwell Hall and Gardens- Family Art Trail
19 – 27 February
10 am- 3 pm
£2 per trail
It’s time for your budding young artists to discover their hidden talents. Pick up a trail from the Visitor Centre and explore the gardens, creating your own masterpieces inspired by the sights you see along the way.
Bagshaw Museum- SCRAPtastic
22 February
11am – 1pm / 2pm – 4pm
£3.50 entry
A half term SCRAPtastic, making piggy pen pots and bird mobiles!
We’re delighted to bring our popular family workshop back to the museum and will host workshops throughout the day where children of all ages can create their own artwork using recycled materials!
There are two workshop sessions: between 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm.

Pirate Story Trails

Ahoy Me Hearties! Avast ye landlubbers! Shiver me timbers…we need help!
We’ve lost some of our bookaneering crew. Help find them and discover the magic word so we can hoist the Jolly Roger and set sail.
Head on down to one of our participating Libraries and collect a trail sheet. Have a family walk to find the images on the sheet then return to the library to collect an interactive bookmark and share some stories together and choose some books.
This is a free, self-led drop in event, no need to book. Locations can be found on the Kirklees Libraries website.
Bollywood Read and Dance with Salma Zaman

Meet the inspirational Salma Zaman who embeds dance movements and gestures within her children’s books. Learn simple, fun and groovy Bollywood and creative dance steps alongside a marvellous storytelling session.
Why not dress up as a Bollywood princess or Bollywood hero and shake a leg? Salma will read her picture book, Bollywood Princess, with dance moves you can copy.
Listen to Salma lead this session with her story and learn how to move your Bollywood hips. Just like a Bollywood Star!

Half term fun at Cliffe House
Family Fun Trail

Get outdoors and enjoy our fun family trail around the grounds of Cliffe House. The trail is family and buggy
friendly, something the whole family can enjoy. When you have collected all the clues don’t forget to return to the food kiosk to collect your prize. *1 prize per paid trail sheet.
