Wow! Said the Owl exhibition
Cleckheaton Library
The exhibition is launching on 9 April
No booking needed
A family friendly exhibition is being launched at Cleckheaton Library on Saturday 9 of April. The exhibition is based on the much-loved children’s book, Wow! Said the Owl by Tim Hopgood. The exhibition has been specially designed by Tim Hopgood and The Young Art Explorers team to appeal to families and especially under five-year olds, with lots of sensory and interactive elements.
In the book, a little owl stays awake during the day for the first time and is amazed by all the colours she sees, ‘Wow! Said the Owl as white fluffy clouds floated across a bright blue sky’. The exhibition seeks to give children the same sense of wonder and amazement by introducing them to colours and inviting them to be creative by playing with shapes, puppets, costumes, and drawing.

Victoria Tower is Open for the Easter!

9 April- 17 April from 12:00pm- 4:30pm
£2.20 for adults, 60p for children and £4.40 for families (2 adults and 2 children).

Victoria Tower on Castle Hill will once again be open every day in the Easter holidays.
Castle Hill is now welcoming visitors from all over the country and has been a place for reflection and enjoyment with the nation coming out of the pandemic.
Following some successful openings last year of the Victoria Tower to the sad news of Santa being unable to visit due to the concern of rising Covid infections, Kirklees Parks and Greenspaces are determined to make 2022 a bit more of a year to remember and to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee too.
If you think you have Coronavirus symptoms or you have the virus then please do not visit Victoria Tower. There will be more public openings for the Victoria Tower throughout the year for everyone to enjoy.
