We can help you learn while you work
This week is National Learning at Work Week!
Did you know there are loads of ways you can access lifelong learning through the council – and that you can make it work around your day job?
Whether you’re looking to switch careers, progress where you are, or just expand your skillset, we can help.
Free lifelong learning
We offer loads of free courses, ranging from cooking to crafts and from maths to mental health first aid. You can enrol for as many of these courses as you wish through our lifelong learning timetable.
We can also help you access more in-depth training, including accredited courses run through partners like Kirklees College. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to chat to a member of our team and find out more.
Real workplace experience
Did you know you can access apprenticeships through the Kirklees Apprenticeships for All (KAFA) programme? The right apprenticeship could give you real workplace experience in a new industry, helping you to upskill and progress in your chosen career path and potentially opening doors for the future. Email email@example.com, call 01484 421000 or fill out the KAFA online application form to chat to an advisor.
The Better Work project is all about helping you learn while you work – it could help you access courses and support that work around you and your schedule, and connect you with all kinds of opportunities. Better Work is part of our Works Better programme, which offers lots of support to help you find new work, whatever your current employment situation. To speak to us about employment support, call 01484 221000 or fill out our Works Better online application form now.
