Knowl Park House – Build update Oct 2022
We’ll be sharing regular updates from Knowl Park House, Mirfield where we are developing new and modern day-care facilities for residents living with dementia.
What’s been going on?
The old building has now been fully demolished and debris from this has been recycled into hardcore so that it can be reused.

Contractors have nearly completed the ‘muck shift’ on site. This is where the ground levels are prepared for the new building.
The new pedestrian route is complete, and works have started on the pad foundations for the new building. Pad foundations are concrete pads that provide localised support to the structural columns. Contractors are also moving the existing drains in preparation for the new build.
What’s next?
There will be lots of activity over the coming weeks including the installation of an attenuation tank that will help to avoid flooding when there is heavy rainfall. The tank will store the water and release it at a steady rate instead. Work on the steel frame will begin soon and once this is in place you will be able to see the size and scale of the new building.
