Santa is coming back to Castle Hill!

Santa flying over Castle Hill

We are once again inviting families to meet Santa at Castle Hill’s Victoria tower.

When can you visit Santa?

Santa will be visiting the Tower at Castle Hill on 17 and 18 December between 11am and 3pm.

Santa will be sat at the top of the tower in a special grotto with a fully decorated Yule tree to mark the joint celebration of Christmas and Winter Solstice, with sweets for children if parents’ consent.

Castle Hill Ranger Julian Brown has issued some advice ahead of Santa’s visit:

“I would ask everyone who plans to visit to dress up warm, Santa is very popular so we can get very busy, and people may have to queue outside to meet the man himself.”

Councillor Mather, Cabinet Member for the Environment, said:

“Castle Hill is a magical place to visit in any season, but with the addition of our extra special visitor Santa, it’s a lovely opportunity for families to get into the Christmas spirit at our iconic landmark.” And once again, I’d like to say a big thank you to all staff and volunteers who work all year round to keep the site clean, safe a ready for visitors.”

The Victoria Tower is also open to visitors on the 17 – 23 December and 28 – 31 December from 11am to 3pm.

Admission to the tower on all dates is £2.20 for adults, 60p for children and £4.40 for families (2 adults and 2 children).  Free for Kirklees Passport holders.
