Connecting Kirklees – upcoming works

Connecting Kirklees, upcoming works.

We carry out roadworks to make sure your journeys are safe and convenient, whether you are using public transport, your own motor vehicle, or you’re travelling by bike or on foot.

We know roadworks can be inconvenient and frustrating, but they are always essential, and we appreciate your patience whilst they take place.

There can be lots of reasons for road works including resurfacing, making repairs, improving layouts, and replacing traffic signage and markings.

We also support a range of other organisations to carry out essential works. For example utilities companies whose pipes and wires run under the roads and developers who need to change road access to be able to complete works.

We also sometimes close a road or a lane because something has happened or is happening that makes it unsafe for vehicles or pedestrians to use.

Whatever the reason we aim to work as quickly and quietly as it is safe to do, to minimise the disruption to travellers and neighbouring properties.
