Local author shares working undercover memoirs for Movember

Liam Thomas, a former detective with the Metropolitan Police turned author and playwright is to appear at Cleckheaton Library and Holmfirth Library to discuss his open and honest memoir “The Buyer – The making and breaking of an undercover detective.”

Join Liam Thomas as he discusses working undercover on covert operations at the heart of some of Britain’s most dangerous criminal enterprises. With secret identities, revelations of corruption and not quite knowing who he could trust, the job had an impact on his personal life and mental health.

Liam will be at Cleckheaton Library on Tuesday 14 November, 10:30am and Holmfirth Library on Tuesday 21 November, 3pm. The events are free to attend but spaces are limited so please book online.

The magic of Movember

Movember takes place every year throughout November and supports men’s health including mental health, suicide prevention, prostate, and testicular cancer.

Anyone can take part in the Movember movement by sporting a moustache for the month, moving more, or joining in the conversation to raise awareness.
