Kirklees Concert Season 2024-25

We continue our partnership with Opera North to bring live classical music to everyone.

The 2024-25 season has something for everyone and is designed to appeal to regular concertgoers as well as those who want to experience a live orchestra for the first time.

Fantastic offers for young people

Anyone aged 16 or under can see an orchestral concert for free. While tickets for under 30s and full-time students are just £5!

The programme comprises orchestra, chamber and organ music with a mix of daytime and evening concerts in Huddersfield and Dewsbury Town Halls, featuring a host of talented and critically acclaimed musicians and conductors.

Orchestral highlights

A fun-filled interactive Big Opera Adventure for 5 to 12-year-olds with clues to solve, riddles to unravel and songs to sing.

An invitation to get into the Christmas spirit with festive favourites performed by the Orchestra and Chorus of Opera North alongside the company’s talented Young Voices.

A must for all film buffs, families and classical music newbies, a concert of music from big-screen classics such as Star Wars, ET, Harry Potter, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Gone with the Wind.

Bitesize Classics

Alongside the orchestral events, lunchtime chamber concerts at Dewsbury Town Hall offer the chance to enjoy bitesize classical works played by small groups from the Orchestra and their special guests. On Mondays, people can also enjoy a lunch hour in Huddersfield with the Town Hall’s organist David Pipe and special guests on the historic Father Willis organ.
