All Saints Church is a Grade I listed building with a fine heritage dating back to an entry in the Domesday Book and holds an important place in the local community as a town centre Church.

Oakwell Hall family trail – Pirates to Potatoes*

A free trail in and around the splendid Tudor manor house. The trail is suitable for families.

St Peter’s Church, Birstall

St Peter’s Church is over 900 years old. It is a place of historical significance with links to the Brontë sisters and John Nelson. There is lots to discover both inside and outside the church for all ages.

St Saviour’s Church, Brownhill

A file containing documents and photographs of items in the church will be displayed. DVDs featuring the church and other local churches will be shown during the day.

St Thomas’ Church with Yorkshire Historic Churches Trust

An opportunity to visit a Grade 2 listed Victorian gem in Batley, designed by Walter Hanstock. Built in a Gothic Revival Style, the tower of the church is surmounted by a tall spire which is a landmark for miles.
