Connecting Kirklees: A snapshot of what’s happening on our highways in July

roadworks sign

Here are some of the planned roadworks due to start in July. For details of all roadworks, head to our Roadworks webpage and view the live maps.

There can be lots of reasons for road works including resurfacing, making repairs, improving layouts, and replacing traffic signage and markings. Here are details of our summer surface dressing programme.

We also support other organisations to carry out essential works, for example utilities companies whose pipes and wires run under the roads and developers who need to change road access to complete works.

As it’s summer, there will be some community events taking place and some will include road closures.

Whatever the reason we aim to work as quickly and quietly as it is safe to do, to minimise the disruption to travellers and neighbouring properties.
