Garden Waste Direct Debit Update: What You Need to Know

People who subscribe to the garden waste collection service may have received an email about changes to their direct debit payment. Here’s a quick update on what’s happening.

Collections are continuing as normal, and all subscribers have been contacted about changes to direct debit payments.

Why has my direct debit been cancelled?

We are switching to a new payment system, but it’s not ready yet. For this reason we are using card payment for our 2026 season.

Do I need to do anything now?

No – you’ll be contacted soon with instructions on how to renew your subscription for next year.

Can I renew my bin now?

Not yet – our renewal window opens soon, we will contact everyone with a contract to let them know when the window for renewals is open.

Can I still pay by direct debit?

Unfortunately, no. The old system is no longer in use, so all payments must be made by card.
