We’re well into the delivery of the town centre access scheme, with real progress being made. Footpaths, kerbing, drainage and traffic signal upgrades have been completed at Huddersfield Road, Victoria Street, Towngate and Dunford Road which is around 80% of improvement works.

Events in Holmfirth

We love supporting your local events, and over the summer the Holmfirth community welcomed thousands of visitors to their annual Food and Drink Festival, Arts Week, famous Duck Race and their first ever PRIDE event! To ensure these events could go ahead without compromising safety, traffic management and work on the highways was adjusted or removed.

There are some exciting events planned in the lead to Christmas with plans for a Christmas Celebration and lights switch on event on 22 November and a hunt for Santa’s Magical Key Hunt. Following last year’s competition, there will be another Best Dressed Window competition!
