Kirklees students celebrate 2026 academic successes
Today is a day of celebration for young people across Kirklees as thousands of young people receive their A-Level and vocational qualification results marking the culmination of years of hard work, determination and personal achievement.
Cllr Rob Butler, Cabinet Member for Education and SEND, said:
“All our students should be incredibly proud of what they have accomplished and excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
“I would like to thank the teachers, staff and families whose encouragement and support plays such an important role. By joining together, they support our young people to fulfil their potential.”
Advice and Support
Young people who are still considering their options can access support and guidance from UCAS and C+K Careers. They offer advice on everything from clearing and higher education applications to apprenticeships and employment opportunities.
Today’s results also reflect the ambitions of Our Kirklees Futures. Our shared commitment to ensure every child and young person has the opportunity to aspire, achieve and thrive.
By bringing together education providers and partners from early years through to post-16 education, Our Kirklees Futures is helping to ensure that every young person in Kirklees is supported to develop the confidence, skills and aspirations they need to succeed in learning, work and life.
