Help shape the future of Kirklees Libraries
We are inviting you to help shape the future of our library service by taking part in a new survey about library book collections.
The survey, which is open to everyone living in Kirklees, is an opportunity for both library members and non-members to share their views on the books currently available to borrow and suggest what they would like to see in the future.
Whether you enjoy bestselling fiction, children’s books, eBooks, audiobooks, or are yet to discover what your local library has to offer, Kirklees Council want to hear from you.
The survey will help inform future decisions about library book collections ensuring our libraries continue to meet the needs and interests of our local communities.
Feedback from the survey will help identify what’s working well, where there may be gaps in current collections, and what new titles or genres people would like to see introduced.
Councillor Michael Simmons, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Public Health and Communities, said:
“Our libraries are places where people can discover new stories, learn new skills, access support and spend time together.
“We want our library collections to reflect the people who use them and the communities we serve. Whether you’re a regular visitor to one of our libraries or you’ve never borrowed a book before, your views matter.”
