Families invited to discover support at Family Hub welcome events
Parents and carers across Dewsbury are being invited to discover the support, activities and services available on their doorstep at a series of Family Hub welcome events during October half-term.
The welcome events are a chance for families to drop in, look around, meet the teams and discover how their local Family Hub can support them. They can find out what’s available for them and their children, from local activities and groups to parenting support and early years services.
Cllr Gill Floyd, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said:
“Our Family Hubs are all about making it easier for families to find support, advice and opportunities close to home.
“Whether you’re already using Family Hub services or have never visited before, the October half-term welcome events are a brilliant opportunity to meet the friendly teams and find out what your local Family Hub has to offer. Having visited the family hub in Dewsbury Moor and seen the facilities, services and opportunities available for Families I’d encourage families to come along, have a look around and discover what’s available in their local community.”
There will be plenty to get involved with during each session, including activities for children and demonstrations of the EasyPeasy app, which gives parents and carers practical ideas to support their child’s learning and development at home.
