Spen Valley Leisure Centre – Build Update18 Feb
Site Visit 18th February 2021
After the cold snap of Storm Darcy where works on some elements had to be postponed due to the cold, the sun has made a very welcome appearance this week and momentum has once again picked up at Spen Valley Leisure Centre.
The excitement to see the windows in place was palpable on the site visit today. It is amazing just how impressive the huge glass panes are.
The envelope is really starting to come together, and it is giving us all a great idea of how the building is going to look when it is completed.
Progress has not been limited to the outside. Wall framing is going up on the first floor to show us what the space proportions are. It is nice to be able to stand in what will be Studio 2 and look out over the athletics track.
